Christians are exhorted to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). The Spirit of God leads the church into all truth (John 16:13). Accordingly, our statement of beliefs is not a closed creed. GCI constantly renews its commitment to truth and deeper understanding and seeks to respond to God’s guidance in its beliefs and practices.

Statement of Beleifs

"We will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grow and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

Ephesians 4:15-16

Through Spirit-led, life-giving relationships, our 30,000 members in about 550 churches spread across 70 countries seek to multiply mature followers of Jesus throughout the world. We pursue this disciple-making mission grounded in the identity, beliefs and values described below.
